A new lawsuit, reported by Motherboard, alleges that the ACT is selling personal data to colleges that could affect a student’s chances of admission based on their need for “special” assistance.  While this should not come as a huge surprise to anyone in the college preparation industry, it may be something off a typical parent’s radar. There are certainly pros and cons to any decision and seeking testing accommodations from the ACT or College Board is no exception.  This lawsuit is likely to shed some light on just how much upside or downside there is.
